Getting around Benalmádena without a car

View of the Benalmádena coastline from Villa VR7

The C1 train: your best friend

Torremuelle station is a 5–6 minute walk from the villa. The C1 Cercanías line runs the whole length of the coast with trains every 20 minutes, from early morning until close to midnight:

Buy tickets at the station machines or with the Renfe Cercanías app.

The M-120 coastal bus

There are two stops right by the villa, one in each direction:

It runs daily roughly every 30–40 minutes, from around 07:00 until about 23:00–23:30. Full timetables are on the Consorcio de Transporte website (line M-120).

Taxi, Uber and Bolt

All three work well in the area. For late-night journeys or trips with luggage they're the comfortable choice: the airport is 20–25 minutes away. Let us know through the guest app and we can also arrange a private transfer for you.

On foot

Torremuelle is a quiet residential neighbourhood: the beach is an 8-minute walk away, and the coastal stroll towards Carvajal is a delight first thing in the morning. For everyday bits and pieces (bread, papers, basics) the Arkwrights supermarket is a few minutes from the villa.

Is it worth hiring a car?

For day-to-day life, no: train + bus + the occasional taxi cover 95% of plans. We only recommend one if you want to explore the whitewashed villages inland (Ronda, Frigiliana) at your own pace. For Mijas Pueblo, Marbella or Málaga there's public transport and organised excursions.

A privileged location: the train 5 minutes away

Villa VR7, in Torremuelle: the whole Costa del Sol, no car required.
